59th Haryana State Badminton Championship 2026: BadmintonHome at Hisar

Badminton was at the centre of Hisar for four days as players from across Haryana came together for the 59th Yonex-Sunrise Haryana State Senior & Junior (U-19) Badminton Championship 2026.

Held at the badminton hall in Vidyut Nagar, Hisar, the championship brought together more than 640 players across senior and U-19 categories. With players travelling from different districts of Haryana, the tournament was a busy few days of matches, competition and plenty of badminton conversations.

And BadmintonHome was there too.

A Big Week for Badminton in Haryana

State championships are always important for players. They get the chance to play against opponents from different parts of the state and see how their preparation holds up in a real tournament.

This year’s championship had both senior players and young U-19 shuttlers competing across categories. For the younger players in particular, playing at this level is a valuable experience. Every match brings something new to learn.

The championship was organised by the Hisar District Badminton Association. Haryana Cabinet Minister Ranbir Singh Gangwa also visited the venue on National Sports Day and interacted with the players.

With so many players, coaches and families at the venue, Hisar had a great badminton atmosphere throughout the championship.

Some Great Performances on Court

The tournament saw strong performances across different categories.

Among the reported results, Aradhya Jakhar and Ditya Jakhar of Hisar won the U-19 girls’ doubles title. Medhani Nagar of Faridabad won the women’s singles title, while Garima Kundu of Rohtak finished runner-up.

In senior men’s singles, Manraj Singh of Faridabad took the title, with Dishant Ahlawat of Panipat finishing second.

These results are only one part of a championship. Behind every player is a lot of training, practice and preparation that often goes unnoticed.
